Honestly, who likes annoying uninvited guest? Acne, Pimples or zits; it doesn’t matter what kind of name calling you execute; this uninvited guest on your face would make your life living hell. Acne generally develops during hormonal shift of teenage years in boys and girls, but acne before menstrual period and prior to menopause is also a common occurrence among women. There are many regional areas where acne impact and those are back, chest, shoulder, face and buttock (yes, it’s true).
Biggest cause of acne in both genders is increase in hormonal levels; which leads to surge in size of the oil producing glands and cells inside a skin follicle. Both of them together cause swelling in follicle beneath. Acne can cause scarring and spots if not handled properly.
Let me first bash couple of myth’s about acne:
- No, acne’s are not caused due to poor hygiene.
- Drinking excessive amount of water and washing it extreme is not a cure.
- Stress can cause acne.
- Acne is a not part of teenage life and you can’t just simply grow out of it.
- If you are facing acne problem then like any other delinquency action is in order, or some scarring and spots may mark their territory.
Skin polishing, skin peeling and laser based therapies are some of the most popular treatment used for acne related problem.

Post Acne Treatment Care
After initial six weeks of acne procedure patients see improvements. Remember to stick with procedure for at least six weeks as most common cause of failure is switching or stopping treatment after couple of weeks. Patient must take precaution and follow succeeding tips:
1. Change pillow case every 3-4 days
2. Wash your face twice daily with foaming face wash.
3. Exercise regularly
Depending on when you start the treatment in life; duration of treatment varies. If you start treatment in early teens, then regular maintenance of treatment is suggested for maintaining the result.
• Sanitize your Smartphone.
The glass touchscreens on mobile devices are so good at spreading viruses that sharing them may be almost as bad as sneezing in someone’s face. To keep your phone (and face) bacteria-free, wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe like Clorox Disinfecting Wipes a few times a day.
• Be patient with your products.
We’re all in a hurry to see results, but putting on the brakes can ensure that the results you get are positive. When you’re starting a new product, use it every other day, and never try a few new buys at once. Give any new potion at least 12 weeks (and up to 6 months) to see if it’s really improving your skin before calling it quits.
• Don’t wait to moisturize.
Most creams and lotions have key ingredients that create a protective barrier on the surface of the skin to lock in moisture, but because skin cools itself by evaporating water, you only have a few minutes before that hydration is gone forever. Slather on a moisturizer with dimethicone, a form of silicone, while your face is still damp. Look for “noncomedogenic” on the label, which means it should not cause acne. There are many kind of moisturizer available on market but choose your moisturizer wisely there are moisturizers made for oily, dry, or combination skin.
• Finding acne tips that work well for you could be an irksome and incredibly difficult process.
The skin is the largest organ in the body, it is the most visible parts of the body, so it only makes sense that we care for it. Perhaps once in a lifetime, almost every person has had to deal with acne or pimples. So before I tell you some awesome acne tips you must first be aware of your skin type.
• Exfoliating once a week.
Exfoliating means gently wiping off the outer layer of the skin (called the “epidermis“) in order to help slough off dead skin and unclog pores.
